In order to be accepted onto the course you must have:
- English and Maths qualification at GCSE grade A*-C and/or 9-4 or equivalent (level 2)
The qualification is self-paced. Students are supported with expert learning resources. Each student is assigned a personal assessor from our highly experienced faculty. This qualification is within the standards of Care Certificate and National Occupational Standards.

All units will be internally assessed using a range of methods. This could include a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task set by NCFE.
Upon achievement of this qualification, learners will be able to progress to the Level 2 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care. The Certificate supports progression to further learning at Level 3 and above or into a range of job roles within the health and social care sector.
Achievement of this qualification will equip learners with knowledge and understanding across a range of key subject areas, for example:
