The curriculum is based on the QAA Health Studies benchmark and is designed to promote deep learning in key areas of health and social care. A diverse range of assessment methods is used to cater to different learning styles, supporting both academic and professional development.

Further Study

Upon completion, students may opt to pursue a BA (Hons) in Health and Social Care, offering a pathway to managerial roles within the sector. Students achieving a GPA of 55% at Level 5 are eligible to fast track to the BA (Hons) Health and Social Care programme at the University of Greenwich (Maritime Campus).

Financial Support

Students pursuing a Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE) in the UK may be eligible for financial support to assist with tuition fees and living expenses. Eligibility for student finance depends on factors such as the institution, course, prior education, age, and residency status.

Maintenance Loan Eligibility:

Full-Time Students: If enrolled full-time in a DipHE program, students can apply for a Maintenance Loan to help cover living costs.

Additional Considerations:

  • Previous Study: Generally, students are eligible for student finance only if they are pursuing their first higher education qualification. However, exceptions exist, and limited funding may be available in certain circumstances.
  • Age: There are no upper age limits for Tuition Fee Loans or grants. However, for Maintenance Loans, students aged 60 or over on the first day of the first academic year of their course may have different eligibility criteria.
  • Residency Status: Eligibility also depends on residency status. Typically, students must have been living in the UK, the Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man for at least three years without visa restriction before the start of their course.
