Functional Skills Tutor


The Woolwich College is looking for an experienced and suitably qualified Functional skills tutor who specializes in English and Maths to join our teaching team. You will teach within our Functional Skills provision and have the experience to teach across all levels from Entry 1 to level 2.


This role would suit someone with an understanding of adult learners and the ability to deliver innovative learning opportunities to meet their needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare lessons efficiently to conduct them competently.
  • Create material to enable interactive and engaging delivery.
  • Create schemes of work and lesson plans in accordance with the qualification specifications.
  • Set and mark learners' work daily, ensuring feedback is provided in a timely manner.
  • Keep track of and maintain records of participants’ attendance, participation, and progress

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in delivering Functional Skills English and Maths Entry 1 to Level 2
  • Occupational Competence in Functional Skills English and Maths Entry Level 1 to Level 2
  • Teaching qualification or equivalent

• Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

• Hours: Part-time

• Position Start Date: January 2022

• Location: London based

Trainee Dental Nurse


The Woolwich College, London is pleased to announce that there are now vacancies for Trainee Dental Nurse positions, with their sister dental practices.


Job Description & Key Responsibilities:

  • To work as a shadowing Dental Nurse under a Qualified Dental Nurse.
  • To be familiar with the local dental rules.
  • To assist in the decontamination room.
  • To be familiar with various dental and surgical instruments along with modern equipment.
  • To provide the dental and surgical instruments to dentists and qualified dental nurses as required during the surgery.
  • Chaperone the patients as per their requirements.
  • To work as assigned by the Practice Manager.
  • To attend the mandatory training.
  • To be familiar with the COVID-19 guidelines and procedures.
  • To assist the patients and their visitors to guide them to follow the protocols

Key Duties of Marketing Officer comprises of the following:

  • Planning, developing and implementing effective marketing communication campaigns.
  • To develop and manage effective contacts with regional schools, colleges and other stakeholders for the promotion of various courses offered
  • Work with marketing and admissions departments on recruiting students
  • Work with the Line Manager on the marketing visit, prospect meetings and negotiations with prospective schools, college and education centres
  • Creating and developing new innovative ways to communicate with all the related stakeholders
  • Direct marketing visits to increase the College’s image and visibility in target markets and areas
  • Maintaining good relationship with potential stakeholders and signing MoUs with them
  • Overseeing the school’s participation in various activations (Leafleting, Exhibitions, outbound seminars)
  • Represent the faculty at appropriate recruitment and promotional events and attend as required
  • Using the full marketing mix for the company’s marketing communications
  • Undertaking detailed ongoing analysis of marketing campaigns to ensure targets are met
  • Assisting in the production of ongoing competitor analysis and reporting, with particular reference to pricing, presentation and promotion
  • Planning and project managing marketing events and evaluating their success
  • Assist in admission as and when required
  • Assist Line manager in developing long term/short term strategy plan of the department


Qualifications Required:

  • UK Bachelor or Master’s Degree in relevant fields, specialisation in Marketing preferred
  • 2. At least 2 Years of experience in education sector
