All courses are currently held online

• Childcare, Level 3 students will have to do a minimum of 350 hours a week in a work placement.

• Dental Nursing, Level 3 students will have to do a minimum of 16 hours a week in a work placement.

• Pharmacy Assistant, Level 2 students will have to do a minimum of 14 hours a week in a work placement.

• Pharmacy Technician, Level 3 students will have to do a minimum of 14 hours a week in a work placement.

• Health & Social Care, Level 4 students will have to cover a minimum of 75 hours in a work placement.

• Health & Social Care, Level 5 students will have to cover a minimum of 100 hours in a work placement

• Education and Training, level 5 students will have to cover a minimum of 100 hours teaching practice

We have a very good success rate of placing students in a work placement but this isn’t always guaranteed. We will try to place you within an hour’s travel distance from your home.

It’s down to the employer’s discretion. This is something you can discuss during your interview process.

Students can fill out an application online or come into the college and fill out a paper application. Copies of your documents can also be emailed to [email protected]

Students need to have English, Maths and/or Science at GCSE level or equivalent (Level 2 qualification) whether this is from the UK or EU. All qualifications from abroad need to be translated into English before the student can enrol.

 

If you do not have English, Maths and/or Science at GCSE level or equivalent (Level 2 qualification) we do provide BKSB assessments in English and Maths (at a small fee) to cover this requirement.

Your qualifications can be translated into English by UK NARIC.

• Photo ID (Passport or Driver’s License)

• Proof of Address (dated in the last 3 months)

• Either a British Passport or BRP (Biometric Residence Permit) which is dated for after the end of the course duration

• NI Number (National Insurance Number) or right to work in the UK documentation

• Certificates of your previous qualifications

• Up to date CV (Curriculum Vitae)

• Health Declaration (mainly for the Pharmacy qualifications)

• Character References (mainly for the Pharmacy qualifications)

• DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) (mainly for Education & Training qualification)

There are a few other fees that are separate from the course fee. They are Enrolment Fee and Awarding Body Registration Fee. There is also a fee for the BKSB Assessments:

  • Enrolment Fee is £400.00 (for All Courses)
  • NCFE CACHE Awarding Body Registration Fee for Childcare, Level 3 is £134.00
  • City and Guilds Awarding Body Registration Fee for Dental Nursing, Level 3 is £195.00
  • Pearson Awarding Body Registration Fee for Pharmacy Assistant, Level 2 is £149.50
  • Pearson Awarding Body Registration Fee for Pharmacy Technician, Level 3 is £234.10
  • Pearson Awarding Body Registration Fee for Health & Social Care, Level 4 is £235.00
  • Pearson Awarding Body Registration Fee for Health& Social Care, Level 5 is £300.00
  • Pearson Awarding Body Registration Fee for Education & Training, Level 5 is £224.00

Yes, there are three different payment options:

  • One-off Payment (10% Discount)
  • Two Instalments (5% Discount – varies due to the course duration)
  • Monthly Instalments (varies due to the course duration)

Self-Funded (Bank Transfer, Direct Debit or Credit Card)

No, if you require a visa to study as a student in the UK or you are a tier 4 student, we cannot accept you as we do not have the license. We can only accept UK and EU students or those with settlement status (indefinite leave to remain) here in the UK.

All students must be over the age of 18 to study here at The Woolwich College.

From the moment you submit your application, documents and pay the enrolment fee for your desired course it should take up to 2-3 weeks for you to be fully enrolled onto your course.

It is not a requirement, but some of the courses may benefit you if you have some previous experience.
